Kurt Van Wagner has emerged as an accomplished self-taught digital artist. His artwork has gained international attention. From 2002 to 2008 he has had over twenty artworks published in eight international and national magazines and books and has won numerous awards. He transforms his personal photographs into collectable works of art. Some of his works are digitally hand painted while others are made up as collages or scanned natural textures using leaves and rocks. The results are varied and striking full of colors and textures that are dazzling bright while still emulating a surreal palette.
Kurt's roots in art go back to when he was a young child living in Southern California. He and his father created mosaics made from glass, tiles and shells and rock collected from the local beach. Later Kurt studied photography in high school and also worked with stained glass creations.
Kurt's art reflects his extensive world travel with his exotic and local landscapes. He transports the viewer to varied cultures, peoples, vast landscapes and the heart. Kurt's art tempts and beckons the viewer to go on the jouney he has for you for his art is ART FOR YOUR SENSES.
Kurt's recent works with the human figure are his interpretation of man's purpose and meaningful existence in the world; the beauty that is in each and every one of us starting with our physical presence to our souls. That if we pursue our dreams and the gifts God has greatly bestowed upon each and every one of us, we will know our purpose, find happiness and peace with our existence.
Each artwork is a numbered limited edition. The inkjet prints are printed on an Epson 4000 printer, on Epson's archival matt paper, which Epson states will archive for over 70 years. The canvas prints are printed using the Giclee process which will archive for over 50 years.

I hope you enjoy my art as well as I enjoy creating it for my pleasure and yours.
